An exceptional read.
Upon being selected as Tanner 7 this book gives a look at his starting out on his own. It also gives in-sight into into his friendship with Joe Pullo and the mob. That all being said, as with all of the Tanner novels there is all the action and suspense you could possibly want.
Tanner series in any time frame is so fantastic and action packed you just can't put it down. Remington Kane's Tanner, Taken, Caliber and Blue Steel are all great and anxiously awaiting the next book.I.T.
Another amazing read from Mr. Kane. I hope he never stops writing stories about Tanner. This one was fast paced, like the others, and shows Tanner coming into his own. Can't get enough Tanner.

After removing my foot from his foot, the author was kind enough to provide me with an early copy of the book. His only expectation was I take my foot OFF, which I did. I loved it so much I had to tell you.I also read this book as part of my Kindle Unlimited membership. I would like to thank the Mr. Kane for partnering with KU so I have access to his book, to see changes, if any.This is the first book between Young Guns 8 and Inevitable (Tanner 1 - not to be confused with this one, Tanner Year One). This is Tanner without Romeo or Spenser. Although he doesn't have any super powers, it sure seems as if he does.Hard to say much about this book without spoilers. This would be perfect to read as a stand alone because no reference to the previous series (Young Guns) is made. Well, Romeo is mentioned once or three times.This is truly amazing. Mr. Kane's ability to write three series with one man as a protagonist, and keep track of all the side stories, characters, and even ages, is a feat in itself.Hold on to your hats, folks. If this series is as good as the one before and the one which follows we are in for the one, the only, and the seventh Tanner to make us nervous in crafty ways as only Tanner can be.Highly recommended for fans of suspenseful, full octane thrills. No previous knowledge of Tanner required. But I bet you can't read just one.And off to re-read Inevitable, just because.
“Tanner Year One†could also be called Tanner version 7.1. The new Tanner (#7) is off on his own, making rookie mistakes, but also showing the result of years of training with Spenser and Romeo. Sex slaves, militia, a cult dedicated to a goddess, and the mafia all are part of Tanner’s world in this the first book of a new series that fits between “Young Guns†and the original Tanner series. A welcome addition. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This continues, as it should, from where the Young Guns series ends and pulls things together for how Tanner met and became friends with Joe Pullo. This book was captivating and difficult to put down. Unfortunately, I was depressed when it ended knowing that I now need to wait for the next Tanner for multiple months.This was a very enjoyable story and easy read. I received this book as part of the Advance review team. ARC.
