This planner ticks a lot of boxes for my needs..- 365 day at a glance, so you can pencil in important events like birthdays, anniversaries, etc- large monthly layout with huge boxes, a to do list on the side, and a spot for notes- weekly/daily boxes with lined areas for notes and boxes for to do lists- plenty of areas for notes throughoutPlus a password log, email info section, etc. The cover is beautiful and matte. The pages are thicker than notebook paper but heavy pens such as gel will probably bleed through. That's not a problem for me as I generally use pencil.The only thing I don't like as much is that on the weekly/daily spread, there are only six days. So one page may start at the top on Tuesday and go down to Sunday, and then start on Monday and go through Saturday, etc. It slightly throws me off when trying to plan the week as a whole.All in all, this is a great planner for the price point. Nice and big but still can fit in my bag for on the go planning!

The planner is bigger than normal, so if you have big handwriting or need a lot of space for planning, this is the planner for you. There are weekly spread and a monthly calendar for each month of the year. Depending on what kind of pens and/or markers you use, ghosting and bleeding can happen. You can also see some ghosting from the printed spreads on the pages itself.The planner has a beautiful cover that’s very colorful and vivid (just like the picture!). It’s printed on high quality card stock with a protective layer on top, so you don’t have to worry about damaging the cover. When you open the planner and fold down the cover, it doesn’t damage the binding as well.Overall, for the price you are paying, it’s a good planner, and you are getting a planner that is functional and great for staying organized. I would recommend this planner for those that need an affordable planner.

This planner is very affordable and fits everything I need to use it for. As a busy college student who works as well, I have a lot on my plate. This planner helped ease the problems I used to have with organization, scheduling, and overall consistency. What I like most about the planner is the abundant amount of space to write everything down. Other planners only give you a tiny box for each day but this one gives you big spaces AS WELL AS a section of each month that shows individual days. This is what I like the most because each day can be treated like a checklist. The paper quality is great for the price! Just wish it was a tad brighter and thicker but that's just personal preference. Another note: since the paper inside the planner is black and white, it gives the user the ability to color-coordinate their writings. This planner is excellent and explores your crearivity! The front and back cover also has a nice matte feel to it, so cool!

I love this product. Since graduating college I have been looking for a yearly planner that starts in January and not the school year. The pictures are beautiful and the amount of space I have to write my to-do lists, my goals, and even notes I want to remember is grear. I also love that there is a page that shows the whole month where I can see everything going on and quickly be able to plan outings/volunteer opportunities. Can't wait to buy another product by Megumi Lab!

The covers of these planners are the cutest! The planner includes weeklies and monthly's. I do wish the size of this planner was a bit smaller but the large pages are very nice when planning out your day. Even though this is a planner, it is easy to spice it up with stickers and lettering. All in all, I recommend this planner to anyone who wants to get a little more organized.

I loved these two together!! Complete opposites. Wade is straightforward, outgoing and a little full of himself in a good way. Trina is more quiet and reserved. Carries herself with poise and grace. And when these two get together all that falls apart. Wade brings out the more adventurous side. More confident,sensual and flirty side. And I love that about them.Trina meets the sexy cowboy and doesn't even know who he is. Which deflates the very popular county singers ego. But she has other worries. She has to face her husbands death and get the house cleaned out. Move on with her life. Let this guilt go. But as she and Avery start digging thru the house, someone doesn't like it. And the danger compounds exponentially. And Wade is there thru it all. Never once does he waver in the face of danger. This good ole country boy takes protecting his woman serious and no one will get to her. Wade is intruiged by Trina. Of course she is gorgeous. But he loves that she doesn't know who he is and isn't like any other woman he knows. And even with all of her baggage he finds her fascinating. And the more he's with her the more he falls. And falls fast. But things get dicey and keeping her safe and his family becomes the utmost priority. With money no object for either of them security shouldn't be a problem. But what about security for their hearts? Can true love be born out of fear and troubles? Will Trina once again lose someone she cares about or will Wade be the brokenhearted cowboy left to go on alone??

I do wish when people write reviews that they wouldn't give away the whole story. I'm all about surprises. This book, like all of her others, was a great read. I enjoyed every minute away from all of the things that I should have been doing. I've loved everything that I've read of Catherine's. Her characters come to life in her stories and I'm always disappointed when the book is done. Then I sit and wait patiently for the next one. So, please people, don't give away the story. Just tell me that it's a great book and that you enjoyed it. Thanks

She was unable to sleep in her hotel room due to the noise from the adjoining room. She then headed for the hotel bar. Not having eaten she sat at the bar and proceeded to order enough food for herself and then some. Seated to her left is Wade Thomas a country music superstar. When her food arrived a conversation was started between the two. Wade was pleasantly surprised that Trina had no idea who he was. His ego couldn't believe there was someone who didn't know who he was. They were two opposites but somehow they were attracted to each other.This was the beginning of their love story. It was not easy and when bad things started happening Trina couldn't believe that Wade was still with her. Wade made it clear to her that he wasn't going anywhere. I don't want to give anything away. You really have to read the book. Although they did get their happy ever after there were times that it almost didn't look like that would happen. If you're trying to gain that extra 10 points on your shelf for peds, this is the book. I like this b/c compared to case files that gets rambly and takes forever to read, Pre test is bullet points and quick questions and explanations are 1 sentence and very high yield. I did well on this shelf and it was my first rotation b/c using this 1 week before the exam after going through the rotation and having been exposed to everything, this book is great for solidifying that knowledge. Highly recommend this for anyone wanting to get that extra few points on this shelf.However, if you're not interested in peds and don't have a stronger basic background- this may be overwhleming with small random facts to you. Only use this towards the end of your shelf studying.

Kindle version makes this much more usable, almost like a standalone question bank (ie Uworld), since you can flip back and forth between question and answer by just clicking hyperlinks instead of flipping back and forth with a physical book. Price wasn't bad for kindle rental either. The only downside is that when you click the number to see the corresponding answer, sometimes you'll see part of the answer to the next question if you have wandering eyes. Not a huge problem, just kind of annoying.

Did well on the board (end up with an "A" with my school's score conversion), and there's a lot of good information in this book, but a good portion of the questions are sort of beyond the scope of what you really need to know unless you're planning a career in Ped's. Overall, I'd recommend this product as a review/study resource for the board and any in-house quizzes or exams, but it's not a "must have."

worked great for me. the explanations for the questions were, i felt adequate; and if not they're always sourced so you can look things up yourself if you wanna learn more. i think what i liked the most was that this book doesn't exhaust any particular topic, so much as try to touch all the bases--so it's good to "test the waters" and see if you need to brush up on any specific field. for example, in the endo section there are only a few questions on PTH, vit D, alk phos and the like, but by going thru them you'll know if you get the general idea or need to do some more studying. in all a good companion to an intermediate level textbook that will fill in the spaces not covered by the questions in this text

I used this during my peds rotation and found it helpful when used for the purpose intended for. I do not recommend as a primary resource for a peds rotation or as a review book. As a question book, it did a very good job with explanations and pointing out high yield topics and differences between similar appearing diseases. Would definitely rate as superior to the questions on USMLEworld Q banks as far as being similar in content and style to the NBME.

Uworld plus this case file. Got a high B on the peds shelf with only going through book once.

I used this book as a supplement to UWorld for my pediatrics shelf, and it was fantastic! It does a great job of giving cases for your standard bread and butter diagnoses as well as throwing in some zebras that might show up on our shelves. The questions are very easy to get through. I went through this book in less than a week. A handful of the things had outdated guidelines (as of Dec 2018). Hopefully a new update will come soon.

I've been using the Pre-Test series for all the rotations I have done so far (surgery and neurology), and like the other books in the series, PreTest for Pediatrics provides a good overview of which topics to know about for the shelf exam. I also personally like using the question-answer format for reviewing material because the information sticks better than from just reading a paragraph in Blueprints or First Aid. However, I've noticed that some of the answer sections at the back are lacking in a discussion of why a certain answer is better than the other, and I had to look up the information elsewhere. Also, the question format is not as similar to the USMLE questions as I'd like (they use many more buzz words in PreTest, and the question stems are not as long as the ones on shelf exams). They also have a few questions on very low-yield material.In summary, this book is very useful when used in conjunction with a more in-depth, text-book type book and is nice to carry around with you on wards to study when you have a short period of free time, but not great if you are trying to thoroughly learn the material.

The theoretical foundations of the Standard Model of elementary particles relies on the existence of the Higgs boson, a particle which has been revealed for the first time by the experiments run at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in 2012. As the Higgs boson is an unstable particle, its search strategies were based on its decay products.In this thesis, Francesco Pandolfi conducted a search for the Higgs boson in the H → ZZ → l + l - qq Decay Channel with 4.6 fb -1 of 7 TeV proton-proton collision data collected by the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiment. The presence of jets in the final state poses a series of challenges to the experimenter: both from a technical point of view, as jets are complex objects and necessitate of ad-hoc reconstruction techniques, and from an analytical one, as backgrounds with jets are copious at hadron colliders, therefore analyses must obtain high degrees of background rejection in order to achieve competitive sensitivity. This is accomplished by following two directives: the use of an angular likelihood discriminant, capable of discriminating events likely to originate from the decay of a scalar boson from non-resonant backgrounds, and by using jet parton flavor tagging, selecting jets compatible with quark hadronization and discarding jets more likely to be initiated by gluons. The events passing the selection requirements in 4.6 fb -1 of datacollected by the CMS detector are examined, in the search of a possible signal compatible with the decay of a heavy Higgs boson. The thesis describes the statistical tools and the results of this analysis. This work is a paradigm for studies of the Higgs boson with final states with jets.
