Being born and raised in Belfast, Northern Ireland myself all three of Tony Macaulay's books gave me almost as many nostalgic flashbacks as they did fits of laughter - and there were many of each.His satirical recollections and hilarious observations as a wee lad from West Belfast during a the worst of The Troubles have a very human element - especially in "All Growed Up" as he becomes an adult and struggles with all of the choices and decisions that entails.Be warned - there are liberal uses of Belfast and Norn Iron exclusive terms and slang so if you are not versed in this very unique way of speaking I would highly recommend keeping Google nearby for reference, so I would.
