I read Rachel's book "Girl, wash your face", then I noticed her cookbook was coming out. Hello!!! No one could take my money fast enough. I was stalking my porch the day it was scheduled to arrive. I browsed recipes on the first day, then made one of the salads for dinner the next night. It was most delish!What I love most about this book? First, Rach explains basic table manners. Bam. Thank you. Second, these are recipes a real person with a regular kitchen can make. It was as if your good friend shared a recipe, instead of Martha Stewart showing you how to make your tomatoes grow by having your own bee hive. (I also love Martha, but that isn't my daily life.)I posted a pic of the Italian chopped salad I made. The directions were easy to follow, and the photos in the book look REAL.You are missing out if you don't have this cookbook in your kitchen!

I’ll admit that buying cookbooks makes me nervous...because I’m a pescatarian (which means I don’t eat meat, but I do eat fish and dairy).Fear not! There are quite a few vegetarian/pescatarian/meatless friendly options and it’s quite easy to make little alterations to the existing meat ingredients (such as swapping chicken for shrimp!)I think the greatest thing so far has been the spice blends, I keep them on hand for everything! My favorite meal so far has been the cauliflower stir fry! So so yummy!(I received a digital sampler from the publisher of this cookbook)

I collect cookbooks. I think they are pretty and I like to read them, however, I hardly ever find one that I just absolutely love. Most of them have recipes I feel take too much time. And, well, life.NOT THIS ONE! Real Life Dinners by Rachel Hollis is the exception. I have made at least 10 of the recipes in this book and have liked them all. They call for everyday, healthy ingredients (not processed); usually only 5-6 ingredients. The recipes themselves are easy to follow and are done within minutes. Just like the title says....real life. I still have recipes on my "to try" list, too!Order this one. You won't regret your decision. And happy eating!

She drinks smoothies, eats salads, and hard boiled eggs- almost obsessively so.I gave the cookbook an extra star because the introduction chapter about table etiquette is a redeemable aspect, and something I feel more people should follow.In the end, I returned mine.But Girl Wash Your Face and make meals using free recipes on Pinterest.

I am an experienced cook with a large cookbook collection. I was hoping for quick but still highly nutritious and interesting recipes. I would return this book if I hadn’t gotten it on sale. I don’t find most recipes unique or interesting. More importantly, most recipes in this book don’t fit with our eating habits. A few exceptions. Maybe a better choice for very new cooks or for those who don’t currently cook at home. Recipes seem healthier than fast food options but far less healthy that our average meals. Not great fit for me but others seem to like it!

After reading the reviews I was torn about this book... but I’m glad I took the chance and ordered it. Made the bacon wrapped chicken tenders. Hubs and kids ate without question (finally!). The recipes are simple and sure you could hold get similar ones wherever but the presentation, the ease of this book is the seller for them. I’m able to make a list of recipe just using what I have in my pantry. No searching for exotic ingredients. Definitely not sorry I took the chance on this cookbook.

 I. Do. Not. Cook. Like, Ever. As in.... I have had a meal plan of some kind for the past 17 years. I married a easy going single dad. And meals just weren’t a giant to do for us.... until this cookbook! I tried y’all! I finally tried!!!!!!I let go of nearly 10 years of comparing myself to my husbands first wife (who is an incredible cook!) and FINALLY embraced who I AM in the kitchen (and it wasn’t THAT BAD!)The beautiful pictures and step by step instructions made being in the kitchen so super fun (especially for this newbie chef and stepmom!!) We got our kids in on the cooking and cleanup as well!!As a part of the launch team, I made several videos of the meals our family created. I even started my own cooking YouTube channel! LOLThank you for this GIFT Rachel Hollis!!! These meals are easy, fun and so, so good!!!!

If you’re looking for a cookbook full of a variety of easy to make recipes, this is it. I have made several of these recipes with things I have on hand in my kitchen. I didn’t have to go searching for odd things in the store that I’ve never heard of, and that’s a definite perk for me. Everything I’ve made has been delicious, and also a hit with my picky eaters!
